Kim  Taylor

In 1937, Kim’s mom started breeding horses from the line of Alikaza, their first stallion. There is a horse at Silverwood Arabians named Scooter who is the 7th generation of that breeding program.  Sadly, he is the last of his line.  Kim began showing 49 years ago when she was five years old in Springfield, Massachusetts.  By 1980, she was working full-time at the family farm breeding, training, and showing horses as well as starting to imprint foals.  She took a break from showing approximately 10 years ago, when expenses increased and show attendance and prize money dropped rapidly.  Kim continues to be a full-time riding coach and has returned to training horses for old friends. She is now running a therapeutic riding program at her barn as well as a regular riding program with private, semi-private, and group lessons.  She has also started to focus on a pure polish breeding program along with their regular foaling and imprinting program for other breeders.  Kim is a strong, caring, compassionate woman who is extremely devoted to her work and the horse business that has been in her family since 1796.
